NFL: Lookahead Week 1 Betting Preview

With the NFL preseason now fully underway and the first meaningful contest inside a month, another NFL season ripe with sports betting opportunity is upon us. The league’s extreme popularity has forced most on and offshore sportsbooks pay per head to post Week 1 many months in advance, in addition to season win totals and other season-long props. With preseason games already complete, teams are starting to take form and the lines are already starting to tighten. Let’s look at some of the first week’s games and see where the edges still exist.

NFL week 1

Week 1 NFL

Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky indicated improvement throughout the 2018 season, but I’m still not buying totally in. For the Packers, it’s been another dramatic offseason for Aaron Rodgers who has been forced to yet again defend himself and his character in the media for seemingly the entire spring and summer. Assuming no incident in what should be limited preseason action, Rodgers should be fully healthy for the first time since this time last year and as good as the Bear’s defense was last year and should be this season, I’ll still take a healthy Rodgers when it counts. As September approaches, I think this line also dips to below a field goal with the public jumping on Green Bay.

Bears VS Packers

Los Angeles Rams (-3) @ Carolina Panthers

The last time we saw an NFL game that mattered, we witnessed Sean McVay and his Rams get one of the worst coaching beat-downs in the history of the Super Bowl. The offensive strategist McVay has now been given the entire offseason to prepare for what has been a one-dimensional Cam Newton-lead team with an aging roster and simple-minded Ron Rivera. In this one, give me the team that’s better on both sides of the ball and undoubtedly in the coaching department. Currently sitting at -3, I could see this point spread dipping to below a field goal by kickoff and might be worth waiting on.

Rams VS Panthers

Indianapolis Colts (+3) @ Los Angeles Chargers

This line originally opened as high as Colts +3.5 and has since been bet down to where it sits now. As week one approaches, I see the number continuing to dip, pending any injuries in training camp or a preseason game. The Colts finished off the 2018 campaign as one of the hottest in the NFL, winning 10 of their last 12 games including a blowout win in the playoffs game against the Texans. Most offshore and local sportsbooks also have the Colts as one of their top teams to win Super Bowl LIV at +1400, with the Chargers closer to +1600. With little to no field advantage yet again, I expect the Colts to be able to take advantage of this opening spot in LA.

Go Wild With Soccer Wagers Next Month.

by Wager Home on May 29, 2019

Soccer is much more than a charming and most popular sport. Is a huge opportunity to place bets, win and have fun. Next coming June the friendly and international matches will be in full mode on. All teams and nations will face important games in preparation for America’s Cup in South America and the Gold Cup in North America. Both tournaments will show interesting updates and news that help us reach a safe picking side. Wager Home bookie software will have all these lines and props.

For both tournaments the stats can easily come and go, lines will not be entirely solid and gaps between teams can show you the right door. Dear reader, our deepest suggestion is to look for games with -200 as favorite and +600 as a comeback. Choose the favorites and put them in parlays. Also, wide open lines allow you to think of picking props or halves instead. Another tip is to choose the over two and a half goals with a regular price when aggressive and full talented team’s take action. Example of this type of game: Brazil against Bolivia in June 14th at Sao Paulo. Pick Brazil in a parlay and try to diversify the wager option with a prop for Neymar or Dani Alves. Anyways, for this specific game pick them over with any spread. It’s a good pick.

Teams to follow in this tournament: Venezuela, Colombia, and Japan. The reason to pick Venezuela is that during the last couple of years they have increased their soccer style achieving deserved positions in young soccer world cups and tournaments. Their success pointed to European proposals assessed by the good presentations in international friendly matches. Pick Colombia because the player generation change from two last world cups (Brazil 2014, Russia 201) is a challenge for the new coach and is being acknowledged by the European teams too. It’s a very low percentage of Colombian players stuck in their domestic tournament; many of them are doing great in the major club tournaments as Premier League, French League, Spain League and so on. And finally, why picking Japan? because they are a heavy underdog that overcomes fear and nerves against any team. Those are good picks to have in mind when they are facing tight opponents as Ecuador, Uruguay or same Argentina.

Always consider that America’s’ Cup is one of the oldest soccer tournaments on earth and the last two editions were won by Chile in tough final games against Argentina. None of these national teams are favorite at this point unless Lionel Messi wakes from the dashes and Alexis Sanchez with Arturo Vidal reaches their top and stunning performance. Heads up with Uruguay’s aggressiveness due to their 15 winning titles, one ahead of Argentina.

Heading to North America, the Gold Cup is a good alternative to do some cash. It’s not a high-class soccer tournament in terms of competition since US and Mexico concentrate efforts in getting to the final game. But guessing scores is more about thinking conservative and not expecting underdogs to overcome games. Good underdogs could be Costa Rica and Panama for their efforts in classifying to last World Cup despite their poor presentations. Both teams are pointing to a combination of young and experienced players. Mexico is definitely a good pick for a parlay when they are playing teams as Cuba or the Caribbean island of Martinica. The same strategy for the USA against Guyana or Trinidad & Tobago.

Talking about each suggested team: Mexico just hired a good coach as Tata Martino who is in charge of accomplishing a series of goals. Of course, that major goal is to classify for Qatar’s 2022 World Cup and have a decent presentation toward the fifth game. Plus, keep proving their highness in the area and boosting young players to the eyes of scouting agents. Regarding USA national team will say that they have reinvented their soccer style with young and efficient players, their league (MLS) has increased stats and they’ve managed good resources as Christian Pulisic who plays in the lovely Chelsea. Costa Rica hired the Uruguayan coach Gustavo Matosas who is in charge of implementing a more aggressive and intense style of play. Headlines as Bryan Ruiz, Cristian Bolaños and Giancarlo Gonzales will be mixed with fresh air as Randall Leal and Jimmy Marín. Panamá is bringing a competitive team being lead by Armando Cooper and Roman Torres. Both full adapted to this type of competition.

Finally, follow Wager Home’s advanced bookie software and get all these lines available in your June’s sports betting program. Remember to share this blog with your bettors, convince them to try soccer lines and stay tuned with all Wager Home’s features.

5 Steps For Becoming A Bookie

by Wager Home on May 26, 2019

Having success in sports betting is more than picking sides or looking for favorites. Why taking the risks when you can play with other risks? Becoming a bookie has good benefits when you are tired of losing bets or you are looking for a new business model. Remember that becoming a bookie is about always staying on the opposite side of your clients and that’s not bad at all. To achieve business success, use our advanced bookie software that allows you to control and report actions.  Follow the next five steps and let us help you in becoming a bookie.

First Step

Talk to all your friends that might be interested in placing wagers for sports betting. Look for the main condition first which is sharing a sports fan passion. As soon as you have a candidate close cheering for a team you have a prospect, as soon as you talk to them about earning some extra money you will have a lead and as soon as they place a bet, you have a new client. This process needs to be in your bookie business mindset without skipping any stage, soon you will have a big list playing frequently.

Also, choose a productive communication channel according to your client’s need. For example, if you have a bettor over the 60’s, of course, you can’t send emails because communication will be hard. Digital stuff matters. If you have a bettor between 30’s and 50’s, send whatsapps or emails as it is perfect because most likely will be busy at work during business hours. During your first management actions ask directly which channel they feel more comfortable with. The best practice is to personalize the communication and keep them in the loop regarding their account.

Second Step

Be patient with your client’s wagers. Probably they will start playing with favorites only, not taking risks and instead of trying to secure their business. Just remember that because of the juice you will always have a return by just setting up the house. You can also motivate your clients to take parleys or teasers for specific sports. If one team loses all the wager falls apart, although winning these bets could mean a big boost in numbers. Sometimes with only $10 you can get $200 in a four-pick parlay.

Third Step

Pay always on time. The most likely thing that happens when your clients win a bet is to call you and request a cashout. Revert their need mentioning the odds for the next game on the same side they just selected. Another way to do that is by offering a similar line. It can work for underdog lines. In the end, what is very important is to follow your client’s instruction, respect their decisions and assure incredible customer service. Don’t forget that cashout is one of Wager Home’s feature in our bookie software.

Fourth Step

Check and control your client’s figures. Once you see a client who is doing ok and notice they show wise skills; go and offer benefits, increase or decrease limits and set different criteria with these players. Is good to know if they have previous experiences in sports-betting to imagine their chances of winning. Be close to their lifetime wagers. if you see that a customer is placing the same bet a lot of times and the line is good, don’t hesitate to put a flag. With Wager Home’s bookie software you will avoid all chances of wrong lines.

Five Step

Never let your customers place bets when the game has started. Tricky customers always place bets within the last minutes before moving the ball. Learning about last calls is important. Instead of that, offer them live betting which is adjusted to the time in the game and is perfectly managed by our bookie software. Remember to convince customers of using live betting and taking advantage of watching the game. Sometimes getting to know who is dominating the game and who has created more chances to score can give us insights when choosing a side.

Remember that you need an advanced tool to keep track of your business plan. Wager Home is the best bookie software with fantastic features as 24/7 support, server security, player platform, and amazing pricing plans. Follow our interesting blogs and predictions always.

PGA Championship 2019 – Bethpage Black Course

by Wager Home on May 14, 2019

This 2019 is an interesting year for Golf when it comes to betting and it is that the victory of Tiger Woods at the Augusta Masters has stoked the interest of fans and non-golf fans from all over the world. With the 2019 PGA Championship about to start the pay per head bookies must ensure that they have the right tools to make the most of the great momentum that golf is experiencing.

Tiger Woods is a double-edged sword

Let’s start by analyzing the man of the hour, or rather the man of the Masters. Woods’ victory at Augusta is his first major title in 11 years and number 15 in his entire career. He has placed just 3 titles out of Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 and it seems he has every intention of reaching the record this season. But the story does not favor him since in his career he has never won the Masters and the PGA in the same year, we must also remember that Woods underwent spinal fusion surgery 2 years ago, this added to the fact that his 43 years-old can make him pass a bad time in a field as demanding as Bethpage Black. In spite of this Woods will be the favorite of the bettors which can be great for pay per head bookies since this means it would attract lots of betting action. To handle all that betting action pay per head bookies must have the best betting software that allows them to balance the odds at any moment so that the betting business is not compromised.

Woods’ victory at the Masters caused many problems for some bookies, for example, a bookie accepted $10,000 in Woods bets at 12-1, which means that he ended up paying $120,000. This could be a hard blow for small pay per head bookies that don’t have large bankrolls. To avoid this type of situation pay per head bookies must have a first level betting software that allows them to establish alerts and betting limits so that the business is always protected.

Woods is the perfect weapon for pay per head bookies to attract a lot of betting action to their business, but this is a double-edged sword and the bookies must be very aware of all their movements during the tournament.

The odds place Tiger Woods with +1100 to win the PGA Championship, the players who are going to challenge Woods are:

Dustin Johnson +1000

Dustin Johnson is the current number 1 in the world and has a great record, he finished T2 at the Masters of Augusta and he wants to get out of the surplus of Woods, who is the one who is monopolizing all the media attention.

Brooks Koepka +1000

Brooks Koepka is the defending champion and has 5 wins on the PGA Tour, many experts see him as the favorite, but the pressure of having to protect his title may be too much for him.

Rory McIlroy +1100

Rory Mcllroy is the player to watch, was the favorite to win the Masters so after the defeat in Augusta has much to prove, also has eight top-10 finishes so far this year.

Both Koepka and Mcllroy are 13 years younger than Woods, which can give them an advantage.

Finally, another player that the bookies must watch closely since it has everything necessary to give fight and be the big surprise of the PGA Championship is Bryson DeChambeau +3500. Currently occupies the 3rd place of the PGA Tour with an average of 4.86 birdies per round and achieved the fifth PGA victory of his career at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, in addition to having a very good performance at the Sony Open and other events.

The PGA Championship aims to be one of the most exciting golf events of the season, bettors will look for a betting site that offers a wide range of betting options such as matchups and live betting. For this reason, bookies must ensure that they have a first-rate Pay Per Head provider that gives them access to all of these options so that they can serve and satisfy the needs of all bettors.

Wagerhome.com is one of the best options within the Pay Per Head supplier market since its Sportsbook software is unique since it was created exclusively by WagerHome.com to give complete control to the bookies of their betting business so that they can set limits, customize gamblers’ access and even modify betting lines at any time.

How pay per head bookies can generate revenue from the NFL throughout the year.

by Wager Home on May 7, 2019

The NFL is one of the most popular leagues in the USA and not only in terms of sports fans, but also in the world of betting. It is estimated that around 118 million Americans place bets on games every year. Bookies have to take advantage of the high popularity of the sport to increase their profits and create an NFL revenue stream throughout the year. The question that arises then is: How can Local pay per head sportsbooks generate NFL revenue throughout the year?

The answer is through a broad catalog of betting options for the NFL. Since nowadays the players look for variety. Although the bets to choose the winner of a game are still among the most popular, not all bettors opt for this type of bets. It is for this reason that in the betting industry a wide variety of betting options have emerged to satisfy the tastes of all types of players. One of the types of bets that can ensure good income to bookies even months before the start of the NFL season is the Total Bets.

The type of Total Bets that the bookies can begin to promote among their bettors are the 2019 NFL Win Total Bets, because they are updated immediately after the results of the Draft Day, since after this event we can have a clear idea of the roster of each team for the regular season so it can better predict their possible performance and thus determine the possible amount of games they can win during the season.

The 2019 NFL Win Total Bets updated from the main teams are the following:

New England Patriots, 2019 Win Total: 11 (over -150 / under +130)

Kansas City Chiefs, 2019 Win Total: 10.5 (over -120 / under +100)

Los Angeles Rams, 2019 Win Total: 10.5 (over + 100 / under -120)

New Orleans Saints, 2019 Win Total: 10.5 (over -110 / under -110)

Chicago Bears, 2019 Win Total: 9 (over -120 / under +100)

Indianapolis Colts, 2019 Win Total: 9.5 (over -140 / under +120)

Philadelphia Eagles, 2019 Win Total: 9.5 (over -150 / under +130)

Cleveland Browns, 2019 Win Total: 9 (over -130 / under +110)

This type of total bets offers bettors the possibility of choosing if a team is going to be kept Under that number of possible wins or insisted it would go Over that number of possible winnings. This is the key that allows bookies to generate income from this type of betting, since most bettors always choose the Over side. For example in the case of the Pats last season they won 11 games. The big difference is that for this season they do not have one of their key players Rob Gronkowski, to this is added that during the draft they did not fill the position left by Gronk and let go of their third tight end Jacob Hollister who was with the team since 2017. While the Pats are a great team they are likely not to meet the 11-win quota. Despite this, the bettors will have no doubts about placing their bets on the Over due to the history and prestige of the Pats, the bookies must take this into account to properly balance each side of the bet and not allow the action to go to a single side, because if this happens it can put profits at risk and even the entire business in trouble.

To get the most out of the 2019 NFL Win Total Bets and handle them in the best way the bookies need to have a state-of-the-art pay per head sportsbook software, one of the best options in the market is Wagerhome.com, since their sportsbook platform offers bookies access to a broad catalog of betting lines which can be customized or changed as needed. The software that Wagerhome.com makes available to bookies is one of the most powerful and easy to use in the industry, which means that the local pay per head bookies will have everything they need to manage and grow their betting business in a turnkey sportsbook solution.

Wagerhome.com is one of the Pay Per Head companies with the most experience in the betting industry and is one of the few that cares about exceeding the needs of its clients. Take the step towards to a more lucrative betting business, search on twitter for @wagerhome, call toll-free at # 1-800-728-8509 or send an email to info@wagerhome.com to join the team of the best Pay Per Head provider in the industry.

Before the “BOT”- A lesson in reality- Pay Per Head Software

by Wager Home on March 23, 2019

So how did betting syndicates get “down” before the Pay Per Head era. What I can tell you it was not as easy, and you had to be part of a well-oiled machine. Today all you need is a decent programmer to build you the “bot” and you do not have to do any hard work. Don’t let these guys fool you, 99% of the “bot” guys are not originators.  In this article I am not going to give away these so-called sharps secrets. All you need to know when choosing the right Pay per head is that we know what they are doing. Most per head offices just take your money and talk to you off a script. They will tell you how you will not have to worry about “bots” we have captcha. That is biggest joke in the industry. Let me fill all of you in on something, the captcha does not work against the “smart bots”. All these programmers can beat it. In the old days, as I say the “good old days” when we had only phone wagering the new “bot” crews would be nothing more than a betting clerk. The real groups like “The computer group”, “the koshers” and ‘The poker players” to name a few all were originators. To get down in this era you needed 100’s of partner betting offices that needed to be synchronized to make a wager in the 1000’s of outs they had all over the country. In the local office I worked we may have had 10-15 real sharps who were calling in at same time trying to wager when the “order” went out. But unlike today when “bots” can bet 100’s of accounts in same office and get correct line we had the “one and done” system. 1st guy in if line is available gets the bet and rest you would here “click” or the ones who wanted to be treated better gave you the courtesy of saying “pass” before you heard the click. So, when you read on “twitter” these computer nerds calling pay per head offices “dressmakers” that same person would have been a small-time clerk trying to bet in old days by phone. In the business climate we have today you cannot be a local and run your office from the states. You need a pay per head to run it for you. You cannot book like you did in the old days; you have to trust the office you are with to make sure you are not getting beat by “bots”. Has nothing to do with not being a real bookmaker, and these 2019 so called sharps who want to cry that a pay per head is not taking a bet, well I tell them this, that is our job. We are not here to work for you and we certainly would have no problem taking an originators wager by phone like the old days, but these “bot” middler/scalper guys are not originators they are manipulators. So, if you have a competent pay per head office you can take on any action as long as these wannabe sharps call in by phone. You cannot manipulate the line on the phone, and they will be talking to the guy who can read them and know they are throwing in fakes.  If you are a screen watcher, you should also be aware that these big “bot” syndicates who do nothing but manipulate use the larger books on screen to set up middles and scalps. Come back weekly to learn more of the dirty side of this business. And the pay per head industry considers these “bots” a stain on real bettors trying to just enjoy a game. The good old days of the originators who were all well respected by the industry is over. All you have today is crews of computer nerds stealing the 1% of the guys actually doing the hard work. If you are considering making a change in your pay per head provider and want a true old school way of doing things come take a good hard look at Wagerhome.com
