NCAA Football Week 12 Betting Picks

by WagerHome Blog on November 15, 2022

Our top four teams in college football remain the same, as everyone took care of business in Week 11. We are now rolling through the last of the regular season weeks and preparing for the conference championship showdowns and we’ve got our top four NCAA Football week 12 betting picks.

No. 1 Georgia knows it will play LSU for the SEC title. TCU moved on to the Big 12 Championship following last week’s win over Texas. And we are a week away from Michigan and Ohio State, and the winner moving on to the Big Ten title game.

NCAA Football Week 12 Betting Pick #1 – No.1 Georgia at No. 24 Kentucky (+22.5)

The bloom is a little off the Kentucky rose after losing last week to Vanderbilt, but they do get a Georgia team that could be looking past the Wildcats. For the top-ranked Bulldogs, their future is set. This game, of course, means everything in the national standings, but their SEC fate will be decided the first weekend of December.

Georgia won’t really have a letdown. Instead, the Wildcats will play well, control offensive drives, and keep this final score to within three touchdowns.

NCAA Football Betting Picks Week 12

The Michigan Wolverines are one of the teams featured in our week 12 NCAA football betting picks.

NCAA Football Week 12 Betting Pick #2 – No. 21 Illinois (+18) at No. 3 Michigan

Michigan will not get caught looking past the Illini and their trip to Columbus. This game is at home, they are too experienced and focused, and Illinois has been struggling. But will the Wolverines cover the large spread against one of the conference’s preseason favorites?

Illinois’ defense is very good, ignoring the last two weeks, and they will keep this from being a high-scoring game, which will keep the Michigan victory to around 14 points. Take the points.

NCAA Football Week 12 Betting Pick #3 – No. 8 USC (-2) at No. 12 UCLA

There are a lot of storylines heading into the battle of Los Angeles. It’s the championship of the city, which is always a fun game, but for the Bruins, they must rebound after last week’s bad loss to Arizona.

For USC, they are trying to stake its claim as the best team in the Pac-12, which was helped by Oregon’s loss last week. The UCLA offense is very good, but the Trojans overall are better, and they will win and cover at the Rose Bowl, clinching their spot in the Pac-12 Championship.

NCAA Football Week 12 Betting Pick #4 – No. 13 Utah at No. 6 Oregon (-3)

Because of Oregon’s loss to Washington last week, they are likely out of the College Football Playoff, and they now need a win over Utah to get into the Pac-12 Championship. If Oregon wins out, they go to Las Vegas. But if Utah wins out, they will play for the conference title.

It’s hard to see Oregon losing a second straight game at home. Utah’s offense is great but not enough to get past the Ducks. Go with Oregon and give the points.

Best College Football Week 2 Bets of the Week

by WagerHome Blog on September 6, 2021

The second full Saturday of the college football season offers us a number of great betting options.

Georgia (-26.5) vs. UAB

It was a great start to the season for Georgia, as they knocked off Clemson with a suffocating defense. The offense only put up 10 points, but that will not be the case this week against UAB.

The Blazers also got off the good start, beating Jackson State, 31-0. But their great game through the air will not materialize against the Bulldogs. Georgia is a big winner in this one, and they cover the spread by winning by four touchdowns.

Colorado (+17) vs. Texas A&M

As good as Texas A&M is, if not for a pair of missed fields by Kent State in the fourth quarter on Saturday, they would have failed to cover the spread. Still, the nearly 600 yards of offense was impressive from the Aggies.

Colorado is a much tougher test than Kent State, as one of the surprise teams in the Pac-12 last season and as an easy winner over Northern Colorado last weekend.

Last year the Buffaloes were 4-2 against the spread, and with this week’s game being played at Empower Field in Denver, the extra energy from the bigger crowd will have CU covering this 17-spread.

Best College Football Week 2 Bets of the Week

Missouri (+5) vs. Kentucky

In a somewhat uninspired effort, Missouri won its first game, 34-24, and failed to cover the spread. The Tigers, however, are better than that and are expected to battle it out with Kentucky for third place in the SEC East.

Kentucky did cover the spread in its first win of the season, 45-10 over Louisiana Monroe. They get the Tigers at home, which helps account for the five-point spread. Last season Kentucky was also favored in this matchup, but it was Mizzou winning by 10 points.

The Tigers may not pull off the outright win as they did in 2020, but look for them to keep it inside the five-point spread.

Michigan (-6) vs. Washington

Michigan may have its quarterback. Cade McNamara was the highest-graded Power Five quarterback in the country last week by Pro Football Focus, as he led the Wolverines to an easy 47-14 win, which covered the 16.5-point spread.

Washington began the season in an opposite fashion, losing a stunner at home to FCS Montana, 13-7. Huskies quarterback Dyan Morris threw three interceptions in the losing effort.

This point spread actually opened at only five before rising up to its current six points. Washington isn’t nearly as bad as they looked against Montana, but that game shows they aren’t nearly as good as Michigan.

The Wolverines roll and cover the six points easily at home.

Favorites, Darkhorses, and Betting Picks for the 2021 BMW Championship

by WagerHome Blog on August 24, 2021

The BMW Championship is the penultimate tournament of the 2020-21 season and the final tournament before the PGA Tour Championship. This will be the first time Tour pros will play Caves Valley Golf Club in Owning Mills, MA., and the first tournament in the Baltimore area since 1962.

Jon Rahm is the defending BMW champion after an epic playoff victory over Dustin Johnson at Olympia Fields Country Club outside of Chicago.

This will be the final opportunity for players to get inside the top-30 in the FedEx Cup standings. The tournament winner gets 2,000 FedEx Cup points and $1.71 million of a $9.5 million purse.

The tournament is a 70-man field, minus Patrick Reed, who had to withdraw due to hospitalization for double pneumonia. There is no cut for the event, much like a WGC tournament.

Caves Valley Golf Club is a par-72 track that stretches 7,542 yards. The course opened in 1991 and was designed by Tom Fazio. The course went through some changes over the last 18 months that included lengthening the course, adding and revamping bunkers, and switching the front and back nines.

We will cover the favorites to win the tournament, along with a few darkhorses that have our attention.

PGA Tour preview and tips - BMW Championship | 19th Hole Golf Blog by Your Golf Travel

The BMW Championship is the penultimate tournament of the 2020-21 season and the final tournament before the PGA Tour Championship. This will be the first time Tour pros will play Caves Valley Golf Club in Owning Mills, MA.

Betting Favorites

Jon Rahm (+550)

Rahm comes to Maryland as the heavy favorite, according to oddsmakers. The #1 player in the world has been a machine this season, finishing in the top 10 in 13 of 20 events highlighted by his first major victory at the U.S. Open in June. He was the 54-hole leader heading into Monday’s final round of the Northern Trust before a pair of late bogeys on the back nine took him out of contention.

Collin Morikawa (+1800)

This year, Collin Morikawa has a pair of victories, including his second major victory at the Open Championship last month. The 24-year old added a WGC win at the end of February and a total of eight top-10 finishes this year. Coming off a rare missed cut, the bargain for Morikawa is too good to pass up here.

Betting Darkhorses

Harris English (+3500)

A pair of victories and eight top-10 finishes have punctuated Harris English’s best season on Tour. In three of his last five starts, English has a victory, third, and fourth-place finish. The 32-year old wrapped up the first tournament of the playoffs with a T31.

Corey Conners (+8000)

A prolific ball-striker, Corey Conners is due for his second PGA Tour victory. The Candian ranks high in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee, SG: Approach the Green, and SG: Tee-to-Green. If Conners can get the putter going this week, he has a great shot to capture his second career PGA victory.

Betting Picks: Morikawa (+1800) and English (+3500)
