NFL Week 15 Best Bets (Sponsored by Wagerhome.com)

by WagerHome Blog on December 13, 2022

Four weeks remain in the NFL schedule, and only one team has officially punched its ticket for the postseason. The Eagles are that guaranteed postseason participant, while 28 other teams battle it out for the other 13 spots. Three teams, the Texans, Bears, and Broncos, have officially been eliminated.

There are a number of games with NFL playoff implications this week, and a number of them are worth betting on.

Miami Dolphins (+7.5) at Buffalo Bills

The final game of the Dolphins‘ three-game road trip is the most important game – a do-or-die meeting with the Bills. If Miami wants to win the division, they must win this game. Otherwise, they will be stuck at the bottom of the playoff hopefuls battling for a NFL Wild Card spot. That is more precarious for Miami now that they lost the tiebreaker with the Chargers.

Buffalo is doing what it needs to win each week, and they will get the win on Saturday at home. But, the Bills have covered in only two of their last seven games, and they won’t cover here. Take the points.

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints (-4)

Sadly the Saints weren’t able to hold on to their lead over the Bucs in Week 13. Had New Orleans won that game, we would have a four-team tie for first place in the NFC South, setting us up for a crazy final month.

As it is, the Falcons are just a game behind the Bucs for the division, and they host the Bucs in Week 18. This week they are giving Desmond Ridder his first career start at quarterback, and what can we expect? We’re likely going to see a more experienced Saints team get the win and get the cover.

NFL Week 15 Betting Picks

Tennessee Titans (+3) at Los Angeles Chargers

Three straight losses for the Titans has taken their sure AFC South title and put it in doubt. Their lead in the division is just two NFL games, and every win matters at this point, especially with Dallas still on the schedule and Jacksonville to end the year.

The Chargers are in need of the win too, but they will not be able to handle Derrick Henry to make it happen. The Titans will get the win.

New York Giants at Washington Commanders (-4.5)

The last time the Commanders played they were tying the Giants. The last time the Giants played they were getting worked over by the Eagles. For Washington, the bye week and the extra attention they were able to pay to correcting their mistakes in NFL Week 13 will make the difference here.

New York is more banged up, they haven’t won in a month, and they won’t win. Give the points and take the Commanders.

NFL Week 8 Betting Picks

by WagerHome Blog on October 27, 2022

In NFL Week 7, we saw Tom Brady fall to his worst seven-week record in 20 years. Aaron Rodgers, who nearly lost to Bailey Zappe and did lose to Daniel Jones and Zach Wilson, lost to Taylor Heinicke.

Brady and Rodgers are showing once again that the NFL is a week-to-week league, and it is the greatest reality show in the history of television.

So what can we expect out of NFL Week 8? With things so crazy, who are the best and safest bets?

Las Vegas Raiders (-2) at New Orleans Saints

Their NFL record is unimpressive, but the Raiders, who were the best 1-4 team in the league, are now the best 2-4 team in the league. They have been in each of their four losses, and they are coming off an impressive offensive showing in Week 7.

Josh Jacobs has been fantastic, and the Saints are not good against the run. That will be the difference in this one. Jacobs runs wild yet again, and the Raiders win this game 24-20, covering the spread.

New England Patriots at New York Jets (+1.5)

Will this be the week Bill Belichick passes George Halas with his 325th career win? The celebration was delayed a week after the Patriots were dominated by the Bears, and the Pats’ two QBs both looked terrible.

The Jets are now without Breece Hall, but there is still magic in New York. The Jets are 5-2 but the underdog for the eighth straight week, and they will get their sixth win outright. The Jets win 21-17 and stay in second place in the AFC East.

Tennessee Titans (-1.5) at Houston Texans

The Titans have completed the sweep of the Indianapolis Colts, and they are now ready to roll through the rest of the AFC South, beginning this week with the Houston Texans. Dameon Pierce will hold his own in an on-field comparison to Derrick Henry, but the Texans team will not hold their own.

NFL

Houston is allowing a league-worst 164 yards per game rushing, and Henry will have a big day. The Titans roll, winning by a touchdown and covering the spread.

New York Giants (+3) at Seattle Seahawks

Two Cinderellas meet in Seattle as the 6-1 Giants, with five comeback wins, face the rise of Geno Smith and the Seahawks – the first-place Seahawks, the one team in the NFC West that did not make the playoffs last season.

In a perfect world, we could pick both NFL teams, but in this world, we’re sticking with the Giants. They find a way to win, and they will do it this week too.

Pay Per Head Software

Bill Belichick famously said that the real NFL season doesn’t begin until after Thanksgiving. Well, next week, we’re into November, so the “real” season is almost here.

NFL Week 12 Betting Picks

by WagerHome Blog on November 24, 2021

It’s Thanksgiving weekend, which means lots and lots of food, lots and lots of football, and conversations around the dinner table about which are the best bets to place on a long NFL weekend. Below are some of our best NFL Week 12 betting picks!

Atlanta Falcons (-1) at Jacksonville Jaguars

You may not be targeting the Falcons and Jaguars as one of the matchups you want to watch. Fair enough, the two teams have combined for some really bad football. But this is a game that you’ll want to bet.

As bad as the Falcons have looked at times – 43-3 vs. Dallas and 25-0 vs. New England – there are times when the Falcons have looked good. They have four wins, including an impressive win on the road at New Orleans. And they have been beating teams like the Jags, with wins over the Giants, Jets, and Dolphins.

Watching these two teams may not be on your weekend viewing schedule. But the Falcons are a good bet to win on the road in Jacksonville, and this game should be on your betting slip.

Tennessee Titans at New England Patriots (-5.5)

The Patriots have a rookie quarterback and a collection of no-name wide receivers. But they have a coach by the name of Bill Belichick and one of the best defenses in football.

NFL Week 12 Betting Picks

A win on Sunday, and incredibly, the Patriots could find themselves as the top seed in the AFC. Just a few weeks ago, the Bills were going to win the AFC East. Now the Pats are in the first place, and they have the longest winning streak in the NFL at five games.

Even before the Titans lost to Houston, there were concerns about Tennessee and its offense. Those concerns become even more amplified against a defense like New England’s and a coach like Belichick. Tennessee’s fall without Derrick Henry continues on Sunday, the Patriots win streak rolls on, and they win by more than a touchdown.

Minnesota Vikings (+3) at San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers are good again, which is fun. They’ve won three of four games, climbed back into the playoff race, rookie Elijah Mitchell is turning into a star, and Deebo Samuel is having a season for the ages.

The problem this week for the 49ers is that they face a team that has been good all season long, even if the record hasn’t cooperated. Like San Francisco, Minnesota is 5-5, but they are three field goals away from being 8-2.

Last week the game-winning field goal finally went in their favor, and they beat Green Bay. This week will be another close game and another win for the Vikings.

3 Players To Watch During The NFL Divisional Weekend

by WagerHome Blog on January 11, 2020

The NFL is a league of turnover, and nowhere is that more clear than in the eight teams that are playing on divisional playoff weekend. Of those eight teams, seven of them failed to make it this far a year ago, with only the Kansas City Chiefs making it to the divisional round in each of the last two seasons.

That turnover just adds to the excitement that is betting on football, which is why now is the perfect time to jumpstart your bookmaking service by signing up with pay per head software. You can give WagerHome.com a try for four weeks free of charge before making any commitments.

Teams rise, and teams fall, and new players enter the big stage of the NFL playoffs, where they hope to cement their legacy. For this weekend, as the eight teams battle it out to see which four will advance to the championship games, these are the three players that are worth watching.

Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans

Following Tennessee’s upset win at New England, the football world can’t stop raving about the play of Derrick Henry. Add us to the list of those heaping on the praise, because he has been outstanding.

Just how good was Henry last weekend? Quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw for just 72 yards, and the Titans still won because the steamroller that is Henry ran for 182 yards. He now has 393 yards over his last two games.

Up next is a trip to Baltimore against the top-seeded Ravens, another team that is pretty great at running the football. If Henry can keep it going, and he can get just a little more help from Tannehill, it’s possible we could see another upset.

Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans

Deshaun Watson looked like an absolute magician in Houston’s come-from-behind win against the Buffalo Bills on Wild Card weekend. Watson was running for touchdowns, bouncing off would-be tacklers, and throwing darts to his receivers.

His college coach Dabo Swinney called Watson another Michael Jordan, and no one was arguing against that comparison at the end of the game.

NFL divisional

The Texans’ defense is not good, so the Chiefs are expected to put up a lot of points in their matchup in Kansas City. But if Watson can keep pace and have another magical performance, Houston could move on.

Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are the top seed in the NFC and are the odds-on favorite to make it to the Super Bowl. But their quarterback, Jimmy Garappolo, is making his first-ever playoff start.

If the 49ers are to fulfill their lofty expectations, they will need Jimmy G to play like a guy who’s been there before. He’s had a terrific season, and there’s no reason to think that won’t continue.

But the Vikings did just make Drew Brees look rather ordinary, and they will look to do the same to Garoppolo.

It’s simple, if he plays well, so will the Niners. If he doesn’t, it might be a very short postseason.
