UFC 300 is Loaded With Fights

by WagerHome Blog on April 9, 2024

There are some great MMA fights that take place every single weekend, but the biggest of them all will be taking place this weekend. UFC 300 is the third fight in a trilogy, and it has one of the most loaded fight cards of all-time.

Saturday night is going to conclude with a couple of title fights, and those events always lead to some great betting opportunities. Instead of sitting back and trying to make predictions on the top fights this weekend, now is a perfect time to become your own bookie.

By becoming your own bookie, you are going to be in charge of the betting options that are available for all of the top UFC events. Setting up your own PPH site will be the first step in this process, and you can get some help to make this happen.

There really is no bad time to become your own bookie, but there are some really big advantages to getting all signed up and ready to go for this event. The anticipation and excitement for UFC 300 is unmatched, and this is an event that is going to live up to the hype in a major way.

So Many Options

Every UFC event is going to have a main card that is filled with some title fights, but this one has more bigger fights than ever before. Three title fights will round out the action, but there are also some other big bouts set to take place.

When you become your own bookie, you will be able to set what types of bets can be made on each of the fights. You can also look at adding some prop betting option, and UFC 300 is going to be the perfect event to make that happen.

There will be so many big names set to battle it out in the Octagon this weekend, and that will have bettors looking to get in on the action. The most popular fighters always lead to the best fights and betting options, and that is the case this weekend.

Even though there won’t be another event as big as UFC 300 the rest of 2024, there are still going to be events nearly every weekend. Getting your PPH site set up right now will allow you to accept bets on upcoming events as well.

WagerHome Will Help

The best part about trying to become your own bookie is that you aren’t going to be alone in this process. WagerHome.com has all of the tools needed to make this an easy process, and it is looking to help you out as well.

Since getting a PPH site set up is the first step, you will want to get the most help from WagerHome. It’s not easy to get your website established, but things should roll along nicely after that.

There is going to be a great opportunity this weekend and beyond to become your own bookie, and it’s an even better option when using tools from WagerHome.

UFC 262 Betting Preview

by WagerHome Blog on May 11, 2021

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is in Houston this weekend for another packed fight card, headlined by Charles Oliveira, taking on former Bellator champion Michael Chandler for the vacant Lightweight title.

Here is a brief UFC 262 betting preview for all you fight fans out there.

UFC 262 Main Event Odds

Win Outright

Oliveira (-130)
Chandler (+110)

Win by KO/TKO

Oliveira (+460)
Chandler (+230)

Win by Points

Oliveira (+600)
Chandler (+500)

Win by Submission

Oliveira (+220)
Chandler (+1100)

The last time we saw Oliveira, he was dominating former No. 1 lightweight contender Tony Ferguson, winning his eighth fight in a row. He’s a terrific grappler and has a UFC-record 14 submissions, and this fight is his chance to break through and solidify himself as a star.

Chandler has already won a lightweight title in the past at Bellator. He has solid wins over Eddie Alvarez, Benson Henderson, Patrick Pitbull, and Dan Hooker and now looks to take the same championship belt at UFC. He’s a great wrestler and striker and will pose a real challenge to Oliveira.

If you want to bet on Chandler, it’s worth noting that Chandler’s last three wins have been by KO or TKO.

Other Main Card Odds

Lightweight

Tony Ferguson (+140)
Beneil Dariush (-165)

Women’s Flyweight

Katlyn Chookagian (-135)
Viviane Araujo (+115)

Featherweight

Shane Burgos (-130)
Edson Barboza (+110)

Bantamweight

Matt Schnell (-160)
Rogerio Bontorin (+135)

Tony Ferguson was one of the hottest fighters anywhere in MMA prior to the pandemic. He was on a 12-fight win streak and was set to fight for a belt in April. That got canceled, he took a short-notice fight and lost, and was beat up badly in December by Charles Oliveira. And now he’s the underdog against Beneil Dariush, which wouldn’t have been the case a year ago.

Katlyn Chookagian brings a fierce strike to her fight with Viniane Araujo, whose only loss in the UFC was to former title contender Jessica Eye. This shapes up to be one of the best fights of the entire night.

Both Shane Burgos and Edson Barboza are dynamic strikers who do not engage in grappling, which will make for an exciting fight. In fact, the two fighters have combined for 11 performance of the night bonuses, so you do not want to miss seeing them.

Matt Schnell was supposed to fight Alex Perez in UFC 262, but Perez had to withdraw, and he was replaced by Rogerio Bontorin. Schnell is the more experienced fighter at this level, and while Bontorin does have a style that can give Schnell some trouble, he is the deserved favorite in this one.

UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker Betting Preview

by WagerHome Blog on June 25, 2020

It’s another weekend of top-flight UFC action from the Apex in Las Vegas, with this week’s fight card featuring a main event of Dustin Poirier vs. Dan Hooker – two top five ranked lightweights looking to move up for a title shot.

Poirier is the favorite at -225, but with seven wins in his last eight bouts, no one is sleeping on Hooker at +180. Both fighters are looking for that one signature win that will put them into contention.

Poirier has been around for years and is very popular on the circuit. But Hooker has the advantage in height, reach, and striking ability.

It’s a big fight, and Poirier has the advantage when it comes to performing in the spotlight. That’s why he’s the favorite.

But this matchup feels like it’s closer than the odds would suggest. For that reason, Hooker at +180 feels like the better bet. If Poirier was paying at -150, he’d be the bet. But at -225, it simply isn’t worth it.

Full Fight Card

Of course, Poirier vs. Hooker is just the main event. There is an entire card of fights that can be wagered on before the two of them get into the octagon.

  • Jordan Griffin (-106) vs. Youssef Zalal (-114)
  • Jinh Yu Frey (+138) vs. Kay Hansen (-175)
  • Takashi Soto (-150) vs. Ramiz Brahimaj (+120)
  • Sean Woodson (-250) vs. Kyle Nelson (+195)
  • Tanner Boser (-112) vs. Philipe Lins (-112)
  • Mara Romero Borella (+230) vs. Miranda Maverick (-305)
  • Luis Pena (-265) vs. Khama Worthy (+205)
  • Gian Villante (+180) vs. Maurice Greene (-230)
  • Brendan Allen (-305) vs. Kyle Daukaus (+235)
  • Mike Perry (-286) vs. Mickey Gall (+220)
  • Dustin Poirier (-225) vs. Dan Hooker (+180)

Perry vs. Gall is co-headlining the event this weekend, and that isn’t without some controversy. Other than being known names, they haven’t been good.

Perry has lost five of his last seven fights, and Gall’s six wins have come against guys no longer in the UFC. Absolutely anything could happen in that fight.

Other Bouts to Watch

The heavyweight fight between Gian Villante and Maurice Greene isn’t likely to be pretty, but it should be exciting. Greene absolutely needs this win to stay in the good graces of the UFC.

Kay Hansen is just 20 years old but already has six professional wins. She faces her toughest opponent yet in Jinh Yu Frey but comes in as the favorite.

ufc

And Luis Pena is the heavy favorite against Khama Worthy, who comes in on a five-match win streak. At +205, Worthy makes for a very appealing bet.

The UFC continues to give us top betting action, golf is producing great tournament after great tournament, and even baseball is now coming back. If you are a bookmaker still going it alone, you are missing out.

UFC Fight Night Betting Preview

by WagerHome Blog on June 18, 2020

UFC president Dana White may try and say otherwise, but there is no question that the smaller octagon being used by the UFC at Apex in Las Vegas is having an influence on the fights. It’s not a bad thing, but it is a very real thing, as last Saturday we saw the first three fights of the night all end inside a minute – the first time that’s ever happened.

The most impressive of those knockouts belonged to Tyson Nam, who dropped Zarrukh Adashev with one punch to record his first-ever UFC win at the age of 36. You just never know what’s going to happen, and that is only amplified by the smaller octagon.

This Week’s Fight Card

Twelve more fights from Apex fill out this weekend’s card, with the main event coming courtesy of the heavyweight showdown between Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov. The card and odds are as follows:

  • Jim Miller (+185) vs. Roosevelt Roberts (-240)
  • Brianna Van Buren (-210) vs. Tecia Torres (+165)
  • Bobby Green (-240) vs. Clay Guida (+185)
  • Josh Emmett (+110) vs. Shane Burgos (-137)
  • Marion Reneau (+120) vs. Raquel Pennington (-152)
  • Belal Muhammad (-125) vs. Lyman Good (+100)
  • Roxanne Modafferi (-124) vs. Lauren Murphy (+100)
  • Austin Hubbard (+144) vs. Max Rohskopf (-182)
  • Frank Camacho (+100) vs. Matt Frevola (-124)
  • Cortney Casey (+100) vs. Gillian Robertson (-124)
  • Oskar Piechota (-129) vs. Marc-Andrew Barriault (+103)
  • Curtis Blaydes (-400) vs. Alexander Volkov (+300)

Blaydes and Volkov are both top-10 heavyweights, and even though Blaydes is the heavy favorite, it’s worth noting that Volkov has won seven of his last 10 fights. That includes his most recent win, a unanimous decision over Greg Hardy in November.

Also worth knowing before you place any bets is that Blaydes has won each of his last two fights before the end of the second round.

Welterweight Bout

One other fight to watch is Belal Muhammad and Lyman Good. It’s a close welterweight matchup, and the storylines are quite interesting. Four years ago, they were supposed to fight, but Good was replaced after he tested positive for a banned supplement.

fight

In April, they were scheduled to fight again, but this time, Good tested positive for COVID-19 and again had to withdraw. Now, fingers crossed, they will finally fight.

Pay Per Head Software

The closer we get to fight time, the more the betting rolls in, and the more the odds change. And if you as a bookmaker were teamed up with a top pay per head service like WagerHome.com, those odds would update automatically for all of your clients.

Get In On The UFC 250 Betting Action

by WagerHome Blog on June 2, 2020

Hopefully you were prescient enough to put money down on Gilbert Burns last weekend in his UFC fight with Tyron Woodley. Burns’ dominating win over the former champion was a sight to see, and at +150, it was an awfully nice payday.

It’s also the kind of performance that could land Burns a title shot in the not too distant future.

Other underdogs that came away victorious last weekend were Brandon Royval (+135) and Katlyn Chookagian (+115), with the majority of the card being dominated by the favorites.

More Fighting at APEX

The smaller octagon at UFC APEX had an impact on last week’s fights, and it will again be the site for this coming weekend’s UFC 250, featuring Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer in the main event. This fight was originally supposed to take place in Brazil in early May, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced us all to wait an extra month.

Nunes is both the bantamweight and featherweight champion, and this will be her first defense of the featherweight title since she won it with a 51-second knocking of Cris Cyborg. On the flip side, when judging this fight, it’s worth noting that Spencer’s only loss came against Cyborg last summer.

The co-main event of the night is another fight that we’ve been waiting several weeks for. Former champ Cody Garbrandt and 37-year-old Brazilian Raphael Assuncao were originally scheduled to go at it in March before the fight was postponed by the pandemic.

UFC 250 Full Fight Card

Preliminary Card

Evan Dunham (+180) vs. Herbert Burns (-250)

Alonzo Menifield (-240) vs. Devin Clark (+185)

Alex Perez (-137) vs. Jussier Formiga (+110)

Charles Byrd (-177) vs. Maki Pitolo (+138)

Cody Stamann (-250) vs. Brian Kelleher (+180)

Gerald Meerschaert (+100) vs. Ian Heinisch (-125)

Alex Caceres (+120) vs. Chase Hooper (-150)

Main Card

Eddie Wineland (+310) vs. Sean O’Malley (-435)

Neil Magny (-150) vs. Anthony Rocco Martin (+120)

Aljamain Sterling (-118) vs. Cory Sandhagen (-106)

Co-Main Event

Cody Garbrandt (-143) vs. Raphael Assuncao (+115)

Main Event

Amanda Nunes (-590) vs. Felicia Spencer (+450)

On the preliminary card, the Alex Perez-Jussier Formiga fight looks to be one of the best. Both flyweights are ranked in the top 10.

The Aljamain Sterling-Cory Sandhagen fight on the main card pits two top-5 bantamweights. Both men are fighting well – Sandhagen has won seven straight while Sterling has won six of seven – and the winner will be set up nicely for a title shot.

ufc

As for the co-main event, Garbrandt is seen as the better fighter, but he hasn’t fought in nearly 15 months and hasn’t won since 2016. That makes a play on the plus money of Assuncao extra appealing.

Big Weekend Of MMA Action Heats Up Betting

by WagerHome Blog on May 28, 2020

The UFC’s return to fighting has been a huge success. Fans are happy, the fights have been great, and MMA wagering has been plentiful.

Chances are you’ve been reaping the benefits of those wagers if you run your own bookmaking service. And your numbers are particularly high if you’ve partnered with a pay per head software provider like WagerHome.com.

If you’ve thought of beginning your own bookmaking business, or you’re already in business for yourself but looking for a jolt of revenue, get in while the getting is good. Your own customizable website, fully automated odds updates, individual client reports, and 24-hour customer support is all yours for just a small per head fee.

UFC Fight Night – May 30

It is not too late to sign up with a pay per head provider before this weekend’s UFC event, but it’s close. On Saturday, an 11-fight card takes over the Apex in Las Vegas, headlined by the welterweight showdown between former champion Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns.

Woodley is the favorite at -175, with the expectation that the fight goes until at least the fourth round. The over on 3.5 rounds is paying -133.

The complete schedule for Saturday:

  • Chris Gutierrez (-110) vs. Vince Morales (-110)
  • Casey Kenney (-275) vs. Louis Smolka (+230)
  • Tim Elliott (-162) vs. Brandon Royval (+135)
  • Jamahal Hill (-125) vs. Klidson Abreu (+105)
  • Daniel Rodriguez (-275) vs. Gabriel Green (+190)
  • Katlyn Chookagian (+115) vs. Antonina Shevchenko (-133)
  • Mackenzie Dern (-400) vs. Hannah Cifers (+320)
  • Brok Weaver (+250) vs. Roosevelt Roberts (-300)
  • Spike Carlyle (+120) vs. Billy Quarantillo (-137)
  • Blagoy Ivanov (-110) vs. Augusto Sakai (-110)
  • Tyron Woodley (-175) vs. Gilbert Burns (+150)

A couple of notes on the card to keep an eye on. Mackenzie Dern is making just her second appearance in the octagon since giving birth to a baby girl.

mma

Meanwhile, Daniel Rodriguez was supposed to fight Kevin Holland, who would have been making just a 14-day turnaround from his victory over Anthony Hernandez. Instead, Holland was replaced this week because of injury, and Rodriguez is now the heavy favorite to beat replacement fighter Gabriel Green. Green is making his UFC debut and hasn’t fought professionally since 2018.

Smaller Octagon

One big factor in this weekend’s fight card and how the bets will fall is the size of the cage at UFC Apex. Instead of the standard 30 feet, it’s just 25 feet, which means that with less space to move around, there will be more fighter on fighter interaction.

More fighting and less moving means that there is a higher likelihood of matches ending in finishes instead of decisions. More finishes and shorter fights means that round betting and method of victory wagers will be influenced, so take that into consideration.

It’s also worth noting that Woodley hasn’t recorded a KO since 2016. So if ever there was a chance for him to end that unlucky streak, Saturday night is it. For the record, a Woodley KO or TKO is currently paying +175.
