NFL Betting Championship Weekend

by WagerHome Blog on January 25, 2023

We had 272 regular season games, there have been ten postseason games, and we are now down to three games left. Two of those three are this Sunday, giving the NFL bettors one last weekend to wager on multiple games.

San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5)

The first game on Sunday is for the NFC Championship. This is the third trip to this game in four years for the 49ers, and this is the Eagle’s first NFC Championship appearance since they won the Super Bowl five years ago.

These are the two best teams in the NFC, and this is the matchup that most NFL fans have been hoping to see since the 49ers began their 12-game winning streak. San Francisco has the best scoring defense in the NFL. The Eagles are eighth. The Eagles have the second-best scoring offense in the NFL, while the 49ers are sixth.

On both sides of the ball, it is strength on strength, and on the sidelines, we have two of the finalists for NFL Coach of the Year. In two years, Nick Sirianni has taken the four-win Eagles to a 14-win team that is one win from the Super Bowl. Kyle Shanahan twice lost his starting quarterback this season but has his team one win from their second Super Bowl appearance in four years.

This is going to be a classic game between two teams playing at their peaks. But the edge has to go to Philadelphia because quarterback Jalen Hurts played like an MVP. Brock Purdy is just making the ninth start of his career.

Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs (+1.5)

The Chiefs avoided total disaster with the injury to Patrick Mahomes in the Divisional Round. It looked like the kind of tackle that resulted in a broken leg. Instead, it was just sprained ankle, albeit of the high ankle sprain variety, which is the most serious of sprained ankles.

Patrick Mahomes will play this Sunday against the Bengals in the rematch of last year’s AFC Championship, won by Cincinnati in overtime. But he will be far less mobile than normal and not quite the Mahomes we’re used to seeing. And this is where having Andy Reid as your head coach is so valuable. If anyone can create a game plan that succeeds with Mahomes staying in the pocket, it is Reid.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals rolled to victory over the Bills last week and are playing excellent football. But the offensive line is banged up, and the Chiefs finished second in the NFL in sacks this season. Where Buffalo failed, the Chiefs will succeed, and Burrow will face just enough pressure to open the door for Kansas City to avenge last year’s loss.

Our Best NFL Betting picks for Week 11

by WagerHome Blog on November 16, 2022

NFL betting picks and predictions couldn’t have seen last week coming. It doesn’t get much wilder than Week 10 in the NFL, with the end of the Bills and Vikings game and yet another wild game from Justin Fields.

The NFL never disappoints; from week to week, there is always a new story.

But for NFL betting picks best bets of Week 11, we begin with the continuing story that is Justin Fields.

Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons (-3)

A month ago, this looked like the dog of the week. Who wants to watch two bad teams play in the early window from Atlanta? Count our NFL betting picks all in after the three-game tear that Fields is on.

He’s scored 11 touchdowns, rushed for 128 yards per game, and he and Cole Kmet have become the new Brady to Gronk. But, and this is a big but, Chicago has also become the first team in NFL history to score at least 29 points in three straight games and lose all three.

Tune in to watch Fields run wild, but stay to watch your NFL betting pick of Atlanta to cover.

Washington Commanders (-3) at Houston Texans

The Texans provided the blueprint on how to slow down the Eagles and possibly beat them. It’s a simple formula, really: don’t give the Philadelphia Eagles the ball.

The Commanders made it work, with 49 rushing attempts and over 40 minutes in time of possession in their Monday night win in Philadelphia. The Commanders’ upset of the Eagles hurt many people’s parlays and NFL betting picks. Rather than be the team to pick against, the Commanders are among our NFL betting picks for week 11.

They are now 5-5 and taking on a significantly worse Texans team, the losers of four straight. It will be a great battle between two rookie running backs – Dameon Pierce vs. Brian Robinson – and Robinson’s team will win the game and cover the spread.

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (+4.5)

The Bengals are coming off their bye week, and the last time we saw them, they were putting up 42 points on the Panthers. Joe Mixon scored five of the Bengals’ six touchdowns and will be one of the top prop bet targets in NFL betting picks for week 11. But the last time we saw the Bengals play against a healthy T.J. Watt, Cincinnati lost at home to begin the season.

Watt is back, leading the Steelers to a win against New Orleans last week, and this week he gets the Week 11 at home. Look for Pittsburgh to cover the spread as one of your NFL betting picks for week 11.

NFL Betting Picks - Week 11

The Minnesota Vikings are for real. Are they one of our NFL betting picks in week 11?

Dallas Cowboys (-1) at Minnesota Vikings

We’ve been asking about the Vikings all season, “Sure, they won, but are they really good?” They just beat the Bills in Buffalo, and apparently, that same question still lingers, as they are NFL betting picks underdogs to the Cowboys in Minnesota.

The Cowboys just lost to a bad Packers team, but they are the slight favorites in Minnesota, and that’s not fair to the Vikings. They are, in fact, a good team, and they are a good bet to win again in Week 11.

Super Bowl LVI Prop Bets to Make

by WagerHome Blog on February 10, 2022

You’ve been analyzing and re-analyzing the 4-5-point spread that favors the Rams since the day after the Super Bowl matchup was set. But don’t forget about the prop bets, which truly make the Super Bowl the most fun wagering event of the season.

You’ve got the fun props, like the length of the National Anthem, the color of singer Mickey Guyton’s outfit, and how many planes will be in the flyover.

There are, however, more serious props, and lots of them. These are the props that, with a little bit of research, can make you money.

Cooper Kupp Over 106.5 Receiving Yards

One of the best bets all season long has been Cooper Kupp hitting the over. We’re going to roll with Kupp one last time, with his over/under line at 106.5 receiving yards.

Kupp has gone over 107 yards in 11 of his last 14 games, including the last two – 183 yards against the Bucs and 142 yards against the 49ers. The Bengals gave up 142 yards to A.J. Brown two games ago, and they will give up at least 107 to Kupp. He goes OVER.

Bengals Team Rushing Yards Under 85.5

One of the keys to the Bengals beating the Chiefs was their 116 rushing yards as a team. However, that was their first game over 85 yards since Week 15 against the Broncos – a string of six games of going under 85 yards.

The Rams defense is good against the run and just held the 49ers to 70 yards as a team. Look for the Bengals to go UNDER.

Rams Total Sacks Over 3.5

A lot has been made of the Bengals’ offensive line and how it led the league this year in sacks allowed, including the nine they allowed to the Titans. Seven times in the 2021 regular season, they allowed four or more sacks, and the Rams went over four sacks in a game four times.

Under 3.5 pays -135, while taking the over pays +105, and that’s why we’re going OVER on 3.5 team sacks.

Super Bowl MVP

While it is likely for either Matthew Stafford or Joe Burrow to win the MVP, there are some very appealing payoffs if you go with someone else.

Super Bowl LVI Prop Bets to Make

Aaron Donald comes with a +1600 payday if he wins the MVP. Ja’Marr Chase for the Bengals is paying +1800, although if he has a big day, so will Burrow, and the voters would probably lean toward the quarterback.

Von Miller, who already has a Super Bowl MVP, is paying +4500 if he wins a second one. And give the two main running backs a look. Cam Akers is at +3500, and Joe Mixon is paying +4500.
