After this last weekend, the world agrees that PGA golf without fans in the gallery is much better than no golf at all. The golfing at Colonial was phenomenal, with a 73rd hole needed to determine the tournament winner. And it could have been a three-person playoff if not for a lipped-out putt on the 17th.
Daniel Berger was your longshot winner, going into the tournament at +8000. The other big winner was the PGA Tour, which pulled off a great tournament to re-start the season, setting itself up for a good summer of golf to come.
Another Star-Studded Field at Hilton Head
You like winners? We’ve got winners. This weekend at the RBC Heritage in South Carolina, there will be a total of 114 golfers competing who have all won on the PGA Tour. They only started keeping track of that stat in 2000, but this is the most winners in a single tournament field ever recorded.
And just like last week, the world’s top five players will all be there, including Rory McIlroy making his first trip to Hilton Head in more than 10 years. The odds for the top five ranked players are:

- Jon Rahm +1800
- Brooks Koepka +3500
- Justin Thomas +1400
- Dustin Johnson +3500
Along with McIlroy making his first start at Harbour Town since 2009, Rahm and Koepka are making their first-ever starts at the iconic Hilton Head course.
The biggest favorite outside the world’s top five is Bryson DeChambeau. The 12th-ranked player in the world, who finished third at Hilton Head in 2018, is at +1600.
Xander Schauffele, who just narrowly missed at Colonial and was the leader after 54 holes, is at +2200. Collin Morikawa, the runner-up at Colonial, is on the board at +2500.
Other Harbour Town Betting Tips
While this field is packed with former winners, don’t ever sleep on the golfers looking for that first victory. Last year at Harbour Town, C.T. Pan was a 125-to-1 longshot who captured his first PGA win. In 2018 Satoshi Kodaira won this tournament as a 250-to-1 longshot.
This is a short course but challenging. The smart money this weekend will be on accuracy and tactical ability around the greens. If a golfer is particularly good at scrambling to save par, keep an eye on him. This is his course.
